Junior Consultant - Internal Audit, Compliance and Sustainability Services (FIRENZE)

KPMG Advisory’s Governance, risk & compliance team helps companies transform risks into opportunities for the improvement of their organisation and evolution of their governance systems to gain a competitive edge and offer integrated solutions and innovative approaches for strategic risk management.

 

As a member of our team, your experience will be put to full use, enabling you to become the point person for top-tier national and international clients.

We are recruiting a junior consultant specialised in Sustainability & climate change for the Florence office to work on the following projects:

 

Sustainability:

  • definition of strategies and strategic sustainability and shared value plans;

  • development of governance and organisational models to support the corporate transformation process;

  • sustainability risk identification and assessment (ESG risks);

  • socially responsible investments, sustainable finance and ESG ratings;

  • sustainable finance: development of solutions for our clients in the financial sector to align policies and portfolios with climate and ESG objectives;

  • sustainability reporting systems: preparing sustainability reports/integrated reporting, defining specific reporting (e.g. TCFD framework) and filling out sustainability questionnaires (from investors and customers);

  • development of circular economy and LCA initiatives;

  • supply chain management (definition of policies, assessment models, HSE audits, etc.);

  • development of socio-environmental impact assessment models.

 

Climate change:

  • preparation of decarbonisation strategies (“transition plan”) and carbon inventory;

  • definition of scenario analyses on climate change through the use of tools/research about internationally-recognised scenarios (e.g., IPCC, etc.);

  • support in the definition of objectives in line with the science-based targets initiative (SBTI);

  • identification and quantification of the financial impacts of the risks and opportunities of climate change.

 

The ideal candidate must have:

  • a master's degree in business and management, business administration and administration, finance and controlling, sustainability management;

  • interest in working on sustainability topics and ESG risks, corporate governance;

  • excellent knowledge of English, preferably with study and/or work experience abroad;

  • an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
