KPMG Advisory offers consulting services to companies to assist them in business model transformation, process improvement and digitisation, risk analysis and management, and support in extraordinary finance transactions. When you join the Financial Risk team in Milan, you are going to work on Resolution and Recovery and BRRD projects, for top-tier clients in the Financial Services sector.
As an intern/staff in the Recovery & Resolution Planning team, you will get first-hand exposure to how banks prepare to face crisis situations while ensuring stability and business continuity.
In particular you will support the team with:
- Helping to organize assessments requested by European authorities on the bank’s “resolvability” (i.e., the ability to manage a potential crisis without impacting clients).
- Contributing to the enhancement of internal governance and control processes and learning how information is managed to support quick decision-making in crisis scenarios.
- Assisting in the use of recovery and resolution planning tools, including simulations and practical exercises.
- Supporting the monitoring of key indicators (such as capital strength and liquidity) and the development of contingency plans related to financial market infrastructures.
- Participating in the design of hypothetical crisis scenarios and possible solutions, aligned with regulatory strategies.
Come As You Are - Your skills and characteristics
This is the perfect opportunity for you if:
- a specialist degree (graduate or nearing completion) in finance or any other business faculty;
- have excellent knowledge of English, preferably with study and/or work experience abroad;
- have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office;
- knowledge of programming software and languages is a plus (e.g. Python, SAS, R);
- basic knowledges of risk management (e.g. Risk appetite framework) and of the regulatory framework (e.g. BRRD, SRB, EBA guidelines)
