KPMG Advisory offers consulting services to companies to assist them in business model transformation, process improvement and digitisation, risk analysis and management, and support in extraordinary finance transactions. When you join the Non Financial Risk team in Milan, you are going to work on organizational and methodological issues within complex Risk Management projects following both regulatory and managerial goals for top-tier clients in the Financial Services sector.
Specifically, you will be tasked with:
- development and execution of processes and methodologies for the detection, classification and analysis of operational and non-financial risk events (e.g. risk taxonomy, root-cause analysis);
- design and implementation of methodologies for assessing and quantifying the exposure to non-financial risks (e.g. Risk Control Self Assessment, Scenario Analysis), including emerging risks and threats;
- implementation and review of governance, reporting system, monitoring and mitigation models for non-financial risks (e.g. Target Operating Model, RAF / Key Risk Indicators);
- supporting the integration between different non-financial risks (e.g. operational vs. ICT risks) in terms of design and application of proper processes and methodologies;
- conducting stress test analysis from both managerial and regulatory perspectives;
- scouting and creating business cases for the application of the Artificial Intelligence for a more effective management of non-financial risks.
Come As You Are - Your skills and characteristics
This is the perfect opportunity for you if you have:
- master's degree obtained in Economics and Finance, Economics of Financial Markets and Intermediaries, Financial Risk Management during which you have had also the opportunity to study Non-financial risk topics;
- familiarity with the definitions / scoping of non-financial risks and methodologies for non-financial risk management (e.g. Incident & Loss Data Collection, Risk Control Self Assessment, Scenario Analysis);
- knowledge of the main regulations and guidelines on non-financial risk management (e.g. CRR3, EBA, BCBS, DORA);
- knowledge of main banking and financial processes, products and services;
- excellent knowledge of the English language, preferably backed up by study and/or work experience abroad;
- excellent knowledge of the Office package;
- knowledge of software and programming languages is considered a plus for candidates interested in more quantitative opportunities.

Standard employment contract under the collective labour agreement for the commerce sector, with a starting gross annual salary of €30,000. The salary is determined on the basis of objective criteria, including educational qualifications and an assessment of the candidate’s profile against the requirements of the role.
