The chance to build a better future is right in front of you
Do Work That Matters - Your role and responsibilities
In a new business context influenced by factors like the pandemic, supply chain disruptions, surging logistics and energy costs and, last but not least, social changes triggered by the Russia-Ukraine conflict, our clients find themselves forced to radically rethink their development strategy and thoroughly review their production and logistics assets. Our Restructuring division is recruiting specialists for its Turnaround and operational improvement team. Specifically, it is looking to add a young professional in the Supply chain and Logistics area.
Candidates should have solid experience in managing Operations issues. The right people for this KPMG team will have expertise in cost cutting projects and the streamlining of production sites, the optimisation of supply chain systems (inbound/outbound), warehouse rationalisation and transport optimisation, the reduction of inventories and the improvement of customer service. With these key skills, they will become the point person for leading Italian and international clients.
We are recruiting recent and near graduates for our Milan office who are ready to challenge themselves in a demanding and stimulating environment.
Specifically, you will be tasked with:
• managing advisory projects for logistics and distribution at the client's production sites and warehouses, integrating all the involved functions and monitoring the progress of the project and the planned actions;
• steering supply chain optimisation projects (including procurement, transport and production) for international companies by implementing lean manufacturing practices and applying the SCOR model; planning the replenishment of supplies and intermodal flows. Scaling warehouses, designing logistics networks and conducting feasibility studies;
• improving EBITDA and WC by optimising procurement, improving inventory policies, optimising the supply chain, improving industrial processes, managing change, defining the internal logistics process, designing the layout, eliminating redundant activities and allocating resources.
