Accounting Advisory Services - Senior Consultant Veneto

Accounting Advisory Services (AAS) is the KPMG S.p.A. business unit offering a wide range of administration, finance and control (AFC) management consulting services to leading industrial and financial companies. Our AAS team works closely with clients to address the needs of senior management to prepare the company for future challenges, transforming the operational, accounting and supervisory reporting models for compliance with regulations and to improve their performance within the company’s business model.

Joining our team as a senior consultant, you will be involved in:

  • GAAP conversion and finance tranformation : first-time adoption of new reporting standards and the design of a new accounting and process model, definition of the business and organisational impacts and the identification of target requirements to support the implementation of new reporting standards;
  • ESG assistance: support in the preparation of sustainability reports and projects to align with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD);
  • Planning and control: review of planning and control model and processes, including in terms of compliance for listed companies and public interest entities;
  • Technological change and smart digital finance: development of solutions/platforms and automation processes, including new technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning;
  • Change management: support in the definition of new roles and responsibilities within the organisation as part of the project; identification of key operational and management changes; analysis of the key critical factors driving the change;
  • Project management: preparation and monitoring of the action plan, coordination of the business and IT stakeholders during the roll-out stages; preparation of project documentation for senior management;
  • Accounting advice for deals: support in the preparation of the financial reporting required for transaction services projects or corporate finance transactions.

 

The ideal candidate must have:

  • two to three years of experience, preferably with consulting or audit companies;
  • a master’s degree in business administration/finance with excellent results;
  • an interest in working on AFC issues;
  • knowledge of Italian and international financial reporting standards (IFRS);
  • knowledge of consolidation policies and accounting processes that underpin the preparation of financial reporting;
  • ideally some experience in the review of sustainability reports or assistance with ESG projects;
  • excellent knowledge of English, preferably with study and/or work experience abroad;
  • excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
