Leveraging the international KPMG’s experience in international markets (European Union, World Bank, United Nations, …), KPMG Italy provides services to several international public institutions and closely monitors all major developments on a wide range of areas ranging from structural reforms in EU Member States and strategic studies in several “public related” domains to digital transformation and operational excellence.
The KPMG team is multinational aiming to strengthen its position in the EMA Region (Europe Africa, Middle East) and working on a daily basis with all KPMG’s practices in the EMA Region and globally.
The profile’s main goals include, inter alia, in the public sector domain:
- Support to business development activities and project acquisition with all International Institutions (mainly EU, but also WB, UN, USAID, MDB, …)
- Participate to project delivery on an ad hoc basis
- Support in research and general data collection/analysis activities
- KPMG practice in Italy is currently looking for a International team - Public Sector consultant as an intern to join the fast-growing team.
- He/she will be integrated within the Government and International (G&I) practice in Italy (and connected with all the EMA Kpmg practices as well as with KPMG global team) and will report to the KPMG Manager and Partner managing the International Public Sector in Italy.
He/she will:
- Supporting Business Development activities on Public Sector related opportunities in the areas of structural reforms, digital transformation and operational transformation:
Monitor international public developments.
Support in data analysis on international opportunities.
- Monitor the trends and identify opportunities for consultancy services in this area:
Support monitoring of major developments and policy trends.
Support monitoring of future opportunities and develop specific international public sector market alliances.
Support to draft parts of international bids on the technical and financial offers.

Come As You Are - Your Skills and Characteristics
The successful candidate has:
- a University Graduate Degree in EU policies, Public Policy, International relations, PPE, or related.
- familiarity with international institutions, having worked either for them or for an international consultancy firm.
- exposure to and experience with international public policy and topics such as: reforms, operational redesign, digital transformation, performance assessment (quality and costs), etc.
- experience with a multicultural, multinational and culturally diverse environment. You are a positive and confident person with good interpersonal skills.
- good learning capacity and motivation to learn.
- a high degree of computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications.
- an excellent spoken and written knowledge of English and Italian. Knowledge of another EU language is most welcome.
- readiness to adapt to a fast changing work environment.
