KPMG Italy team focusing on EU institutions and international organisations (World Bank, United Nations, …) is quickly growing and seek a new EU policy consultant/senior consultant.

The successful candidate will be actively involved in service delivery for different Directorate-Generals of the European Commission and agencies across the EU, as well as business development activities to strengthen the growth of the KPMG IT European team. The role includes conducting projects and studies to support policy-making and assisting clients with the implementation of policy initiatives as well as stakeholder engagement and management consulting projects for EU institutions. This may include research, evaluations and impact assessments, stakeholder management and communication, the development of new strategies, providing guidance during transformations, and improving existing business processes.

Specifically, your responsibilities will include:

  • Participate to the delivery of EU projects covering EU policy studies and/or Impact, assessment monitoring and evaluation according to Better Regulations methodology and/or stakeholder engagement and management consulting for EU institutions.
  • Support the project manager in coordinating activities for project implementation
  • Cooperate with other team members to disseminate knowledge about EU policy and Better regulation methodologies
  • Carry out and coordinate quantitative/qualitative data analysis, including market analysis, CBA, cost assessments, indicators framework set-up
  • Support Business Development activities especially on EU policy studies, Better Regulation studies but also on a varied of other EU opportunities:
    • Tendering drafting and coordination of more junior resources for quality results
    • Analyse policy context and participate to EU tenders procedures
    • Participate to consortia building for EU tenders

Come As You Are - Your Skills and Characteristics

The successful candidate has:

  • at least 1 to 3 years of experience (depending on the seniority) in other consultancies working for EU institutions (this is a pre-condition and will be checked)
  • a University Graduate Degree in EU policies, Public Policy, PPE, or related.
  • It is considered a plus having professional experience or academic background in policymaking according to Better Regulation methodologies.
  • an experience working for international institutions or within an international consulting firm, you are familiar with international institutions.
  • a positive and confident approach with good interpersonal skills and you are at ease with a multicultural, multinational and culturally diverse environment.
  • an excellent spoken and written knowledge of English and Italian. Knowledge of another EU language is most welcome.
  • readiness to adapt to a fast changing work environment.

Standard employment contract under the collective labour agreement for the commerce sector, with a gross annual salary ranging from €30,000 to €33,000 for the consultant position and from €31,000 to €41,000 for the senior consultant position. The salary is determined on the basis of objective criteria, including the candidate’s skills and experience assessed against the requirements of the role.
