KPMG Advisory offers consulting services to companies to assist them in business model transformation, process improvement and digitisation, risk analysis and management, and support in extraordinary finance transactions.
As a Governance & Innovation Senior Consultant, you will join our Operations team with the mission of leading complex digital transformation programs and ensuring effective governance on innovation-driven projects. You will support our clients in activities with a focus on innovation challenges, leveraging your management and technical skills. Directly interacting with our customers, you will lead digital transformation decisions with a strong eye on both business and technology.
Specifically, you will help our customers to drive the change with specific tasks:
- Governance models to support innovation and digital initiatives in line with leading practices
- Provide support for complex innovation initiatives across digital and application domains
- Define, establish, and evolve models for the governance of complex, multi-stakeholder project portfolios
- Develop methodologies for monitoring, reporting, and controlling project performance, ensuring alignment with KPIs, milestones, and budgets
- Drive the definition and continuous improvement of digital processes, translating business requirements into actionable solutions
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and engage with senior internal and external stakeholders
- Contribute to the growth of the practice through knowledge sharing, mentoring, and thought leadership
Come As You Are - Your skills and characteristics
This is the perfect opportunity for you if you have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other STEM disciplines
- At least 4-6 years of experience in Governance and Innovation within corporate or consulting environments, with a particular interest in technological field
- Effective knowledge of digital transformation projects with proven management and technical skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in both Italian and English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Solid knowledge of Governance methodologies (e.g. PMI, PRINCE2, Agile/SAFe, Scrum)
- Understanding of frameworks and international standards (e.g. ITIL, COBIT, ISO)
- Technical certifications (TOGAF, Cloud, AI or Data related)
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., energy, telco, financial services)
- Familiarity with advanced PMO tools (e.g., Clarity PPM, MS Project Online, Jira/Confluence)

Standard employment contract under the collective labour agreement for the commerce sector, with a gross annual salary ranging from €31,000 to €41,000 for the Senior Consultant position and from €38,000 to €51,000 for the Assistant Manager position. The salary is determined on the basis of objective criteria, including the candidate’s skills and experience assessed against the requirements of the role.
