Non Life Senior Actuary - Roma

27 apr 2024

In a world of uncertainty, your career for the future.

Our Financial Risk Management practice is a KPMG Advisory centre of excellence.
We help clients across all market sectors implement robust financial risk frameworks that are compliant, lead to better decision making and improve results.

Our Actuarial services professionals help clients prepare for the future, transforming their strategies and operating models and making them more competitive but also more compliant in an uncertain and constantly changing regulatory and economic context. Increasingly complex risk models, more and more stringent regulatory requirements with ever tighter deadlines and new accounting rules are forcing insurance companies to perfect their financial reporting processes and capabilities.

Your talent will be put to full use, enabling you to work with leading Italian and international clients, tangibly contributing to their success.

For top-tier clients in the Insurance sector, you will join our Rome team working on non-life insurance projects.
In particular, you will be assigned to projects on:

  • IFRS 17: definition of models to measure and estimate the impacts on the profit or loss of major insurance groups;
  • Solvency II: measurement of technical reserves and SCR (standard formulas, USP and internal models);
  • reinsurance: analysis and definition of optimal reinsurance strategies;
  • planning: definition of planning models according to the different principles (local, Solvency II and IFRS 17);
  • data analytics: analysis of data using innovative methodologies for pricing and reserving.

The ideal candidate must have:

  • at least two years of experience with insurance companies, consulting companies or actuarial firms in which you worked on non-life insurance projects concerning reserving and/or pricing;
  • solid knowledge of Solvency II issues;
  • specialist degree in statistical and actuarial sciences or similar. Registration in the roll of actuaries is an advantage but not a requirement;
  • good knowledge of some of the main programming languages (R, Matlab, VBA and Python);
  • excellent knowledge of English, preferably with experience abroad.

You are a problem solver and never lose sight of your goals. You have strong interpersonal skills and are a team player. Your motivation and enthusiasm inspire confidence and empower change. You enjoy taking on challenges and are comfortable in fast-changing situations where your leadership abilities make the difference.

In today’s increasingly complex and interconnected world, clients need to transform and adapt ever more rapidly. At KPMG Advisory, we focus on the main drivers of change: strategies, corporate finance, organisational processes and models, technological platforms, risk management and organisational change. Our work is uniquely challenging given its scope, complexity and importance. You will experience disruptive technologies and set the new standards that impact their security. You will have access to global opportunities and the possibility of gaining skills and expertise that will help you reach your goals.

Your data will be processed in full compliance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) no. 679/2016 (General Data Protection Regulation - “GDPR” or the “Privacy legislation”), as amended. Please see KPMG's privacy policy for further information.

KPMG Advisory S.p.A. is an equal opportunity employer.
